EVO ID5/6 maps – These maps are available on newer models and do not allow the manual entry of FSC codes when updating maps. Once the LifeTime Code has been installed you can update your maps using a USB and in future keep them current by simply purchasing the Map Data at €25 (activation code will no longer be needed). The entire process takes just a few minutes to complete and does not require any technical skills. Click a couple of buttons on the screen and the software will extract the LifeTime Code and save it on your computer. Download and run our cloud based software. You will need to simply plug one end of the ENET cable to you car (we shall provide necessary instructions) and the other end to a Windows laptop with internet connection. This is a one time process and for this we shall send you an ENET data cable (if you don’t have one) and a software link. 
OPTION1: You can install the Lifetime Code and update the maps yourself.
The update process takes 30-45 minutes or so, somewhat dependent on the speed of your USB drive.The EVO ID5/6 maps can only be updated by installing a LifeTime FSC (activation code) using an ENET cable (which we shall provide). I expect the 2019-2 version will be out soon, if it isn't already. They come in either annual or lifetime codes, and the price isn't all that much different. There are ways to generate an FSC code if you're computer savy and have the right tools. If you need an FSC code, it will tell you to enter one when it recognizes the USB stick, you manually enter that, and then the process is the same. When it's done, it will ask you if it's okay to swap the old maps out. If you don't need a new FSC code, it will ask you if you want to install the maps, say yes, and wait. If the files are properly arranged and the USB stick is properly formatted so the car can recognize it, you'll get a message on the screen. DOwnload the maps (several sources, some free, some charge), copy in the right format to your USB drive, turn the car on, insert the USB into the port in the center console, and wait a bit. Yours may require an FSC code for the vehicle to accept new maps. Newer vehicles seem to have an unlimited key to allow updates.
